About Intense Duke
Intense Duke is a sweet aromatic woody oriental eau de parfum for men, inspired by Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier. It is the fragrance that taught a generation that men could smell like vanilla and still look tough doing it.
Mint and artemisia open it, cold and green, with cardamom adding a soft spice and bergamot brightening the edges. That freshness lasts maybe half an hour before the lavender takes hold, and lavender is the whole personality of this fragrance: clean, slightly soapy, unmistakably barbershop, with orange blossom giving it a creamy floral sweetness and cinnamon adding gentle heat.
The base is pure comfort. Vanilla and amber build a warm, sugary glow, sandalwood and cedar keep it from becoming dessert, and the result is a scent that smells simultaneously like a freshly shaved jaw and a warm bed. It is closer to the skin than it is loud, though it lingers on clothing for days.
Reach for it in cool weather and after dark. It is a date-night fragrance, a winter-evening fragrance, a scent for occasions where you want to be approached rather than admired from a distance. If you love Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier, Intense Duke shares its DNA note for note in spirit: the mint-and-cardamom opening, the soapy lavender heart that defines the entire style, and the sweet vanilla and amber base that gives it that unmistakable warmth.
Where ours parts ways is in the sweetness. The vanilla in our base is a little more restrained and the cedar a little more present, so the dry-down reads slightly woodier and less like sugar. Our lavender is cleaner and less powdery. Performance is comparable, with strong longevity and moderate projection after the first hour. Intense Duke is inspired by that beloved profile and sits in the same family, but it is an original composition, and the woodier finish is what distinguishes it.

When to wear it
Cool months and evening hours suit it best, though it is mild enough for a winter workday if you use a light hand. It is a superb date fragrance because it invites people closer rather than pushing them away. Three sprays to the neck and chest. The 50ml at R120 is the size most wearers settle on, and the 100ml at R200 makes sense if it becomes your signature.

The mint and lavender keep the sweetness in check, so most wearers find it perfectly wearable day to day in cooler weather. In high summer it can feel heavy after a few hours.
