About Carbon Heart
Carbon Heart is a refined aromatic woody eau de parfum for men, inspired by Icon by Dunhill. It is the sort of fragrance that reads as expensive without ever raising its voice.
Neroli and bergamot open it with a clean, slightly bitter brightness, and petitgrain and pepper stop that brightness from turning sweet. The effect is crisp and grey rather than sunny, which is where the name comes from. Give it fifteen minutes and lavender rises through the middle, dry and barbershop-clean, with cardamom, sage and juniper berry keeping the whole thing herbal and composed.
The base is the reason to own it. Iris brings a cool, powdery, almost suede-like texture; leather adds the smell of a good jacket; vetiver and oakmoss keep things earthy; and a quiet thread of oud sits underneath, adding weight without any of the medicinal harshness oud can bring. Together they make a soft, grey-green dry-down that stays close and lasts.
This is a daytime fragrance with evening manners. It belongs in offices, boardrooms, interviews and long weekday lunches, and it does not embarrass anyone in a lift. Wear it when you want to seem deliberate. It is also an excellent gift for a man who says he does not care about fragrance, because it smells grown up rather than fashionable, and nobody has ever complained about smelling like clean leather and lavender.

If you love Icon by Dunhill, Carbon Heart is built from the same architecture. It shares its DNA in the neroli-and-lavender opening, the herbal aromatic heart, and the leather-and-iris base that gives the original its polished, grown-up signature.
Our composition reads a little drier. The iris is more forward, giving a powdery, suede-like texture that arrives earlier, and the oud in the base is gentler and less resinous than you might expect. The original is slightly creamier in the first hour; ours goes to the woods sooner. Longevity is good, generally seven hours or so, with modest projection after the first ninety minutes, which suits a workday fragrance. Carbon Heart is inspired by that character and belongs to the same family, but it is an original composition with its own balance.

When to wear it
Wear this from morning onwards, through spring and autumn especially, when the air is mild enough for lavender and leather to stay elegant. It is ideal for work, meetings and daytime events where you want presence without attention. Three sprays, one on each side of the neck and one on the chest. The 50ml at R120 is the right size for a daily-rotation fragrance.
