Black Coffee is a crisp aquatic-citrus eau de parfum for men, inspired by Light Blue pour Homme by Dolce & Gabbana. The name is a little misleading on purpose: there is nothing roasted here, only cold brightness and clean skin.
It opens the way a window opens. Sicilian mandarin and frozen grapefruit peel come first, tart and almost bitter at the edges, with bergamot smoothing the corners and juniper adding a dry, gin-like snap. That opening is the part people compliment, and it lasts longer than most citrus starts because of the way the juniper holds it in place.
The heart turns aromatic rather than sweet. Rosemary gives it a herbal, sunlit quality, Szechuan pepper adds a tingle of heat, and rosewood keeps everything rounded. Then the base does something quietly clever: musk wood and a thread of incense sit under oakmoss so the dry-down reads like warm skin after a swim rather than a bottle of cologne.
This is the fragrance for a man who wants to smell put together without effort. It is a daytime scent first, made for heat, linen shirts, coastal weekends and Mondays that need help. It layers well with unscented deodorant and clean laundry, and it never dominates a small room. Wear it when you want to be the person who smells fresh at four in the afternoon, and nobody can quite work out why.
If you love Light Blue pour Homme by Dolce & Gabbana, Black Coffee will feel like the same family. Both are built on a cold citrus opening, a herbal-peppery middle and a soft woody-musk close, and both are best understood as warm-weather, daytime fragrances rather than statement pieces.
Ours takes a slightly different route through that territory. The grapefruit reads icier and more bitter on the opening, the rosemary is more pronounced, and the incense in our base gives the last few hours a faint smoky warmth the original does not have. Longevity is moderate on both, as it tends to be with fresh compositions, so reapplication at midday is sensible. Black Coffee is inspired by that well-known character rather than reproducing it, and the incense thread is what makes it ours.

This is a hot-weather, daylight fragrance. It shines on summer mornings, at the coast, in offices with the air conditioning working overtime, and on any day above twenty-five degrees. Three or four sprays are safe because it stays polite. Keep a 30ml at R70 in your bag for a midday refresh, and a 50ml at R120 on the shelf at home.
It shares the same cold citrus and clean woody character people know from Light Blue pour Homme. It is an original composition inspired by that fragrance rather than a reproduction, with a touch of incense in the base that the original does not carry.
Yes. It is one of the most office-friendly scents in the range. It sits close to the skin, reads clean rather than sweet, and will not follow you into a meeting room uninvited.
The name is about the mood rather than the notes: sharp, bracing and best early. There is no coffee note in the composition, only cold citrus, herbs and soft woods.
Fresh citrus fragrances sit closer to the skin than heavy orientals, so expect four to six hours. A single spray at lunchtime keeps it running through a full day.
