About Sahara Wild
Sahara Wild is a lush mossy-floral eau de parfum for women, inspired by Rush by Gucci. It is one of the most distinctive fragrances we make, and one that people either adore immediately or need a second meeting with.
It opens creamy rather than fresh. Gardenia leads, thick and white and slightly waxy, with freesia adding a peppery green lift and peach bringing a soft, velvety fruitiness. There is no sharp citrus here; the fragrance begins already warm.
The heart deepens it considerably. Damask rose is rich and faintly jammy, jasmine adds heady sweetness, and coriander threads a dry, herbal spice through the flowers that stops them from becoming syrupy. This is where the composition earns its reputation: dense, glowing and slightly intoxicating.
The base is beautifully judged. Vetiver brings a dry, rooty earthiness, patchouli adds darkness, and vanilla smooths the finish into something warm and skin-like. It lingers for hours and reads more like a person than a perfume by the end of the day.
Wear it in spring and autumn, by day or evening, to dinners, weekends and occasions where you want to feel a little wild. Three sprays. It flatters warm skin particularly well, and it is often chosen by people who find ordinary florals too polite and gourmand fragrances too sweet. Apply it before you dress and give it a quarter of an hour, because the first impression and the final one are two quite different fragrances.
If you love Rush
If you love Rush by Gucci, Sahara Wild belongs to the same family. Both are built on a creamy gardenia and peach opening, a rich rose and jasmine heart and an earthy vetiver and patchouli base with vanilla smoothing the finish.
Ours is a little fresher at the start. The freesia is more prominent in our opening, which lifts the first half hour, and our vanilla is slightly more generous in the dry-down, making the finish softer than the original's drier, more resinous close. Longevity is strong at around eight hours with good projection early. Sahara Wild is inspired by that fragrance and has a similar character, but it is an original composition rather than a reproduction of it.

When to wear it
Spring and autumn suit it best, and it works from the afternoon through to late evening. It belongs at dinners, weekends away and social occasions rather than in a quiet office. Three sprays at the throat and wrists, applied to moisturised skin so the vetiver and vanilla hold. The 50ml at R120 is the right size for a fragrance worn once or twice a week.

Does Sahara Wild smell like Rush?
It shares the same creamy gardenia and earthy vetiver character that makes Rush by Gucci so distinctive. Ours is an original composition inspired by that fragrance rather than a reproduction, and our opening is a little fresher.
Why do some people need to smell it twice?
The gardenia and coriander opening is unusual and can feel intense at first. Once the rose and vetiver settle in, about twenty minutes later, most people change their minds.
What skin suits it best?
Warm skin brings out the peach and vanilla beautifully. On cooler skin the vetiver and patchouli stay more prominent, which makes it drier and more earthy.
Is it a good gift?
Only for someone who enjoys bold, distinctive fragrances. It is too characterful to be a safe choice, but for the right person it is one of the most memorable scents we sell.
