About Once Is Never Enough
Once Is Never Enough is a bright fruity-floral eau de parfum for women, inspired by Boss Femme by Hugo Boss. It is sunny, uncomplicated and extremely easy to wear.
Tangerine opens it, sweet and zesty rather than sharp, with blackcurrant adding a dark berry tang underneath and freesia lifting the whole thing with a fresh, slightly green floral note. The effect is immediately cheerful, the fragrance equivalent of a good morning.
The heart is a soft, well-mannered bouquet. Jasmine gives quiet depth, fleur de lys adds a cool, slightly powdery elegance, and Bulgarian rose brings warmth without any of the heaviness that rose can carry. Nothing here is heady; the flowers feel bright and freshly arranged.
The finish is gentle and slightly unusual. Apricot gives a soft, velvety fruitiness that reads almost like skin, and lemon wood adds a pale, dry woodiness that keeps everything from turning too sweet. It sits close and fades kindly rather than disappearing abruptly.
Wear it in spring and summer, in daylight, to work, lunches, errands and warm afternoons. Four sprays, since it is light and unobtrusive. It is a good choice for a first perfume, a reliable everyday option for someone who dislikes strong scent, and a thoughtful gift that very few people would dislike. It also layers well with a citrus or peach body wash, which stretches the tangerine opening through a longer morning.

If you love Boss Femme by Hugo Boss, Once Is Never Enough belongs to the same family. Both are bright fruity-florals built on citrus and berry, both carry a soft rose and freesia heart, and both finish on a gentle fruity-woody base rather than anything heavy.
Ours is slightly sweeter in the opening, with the tangerine more generous than the original's sharper citrus, and our apricot base is a little more pronounced. The original is marginally cleaner through the middle. Both are moderate performers, lasting around five to six hours with soft projection, which makes them comfortable in shared spaces. Once Is Never Enough is inspired by that fragrance and has a similar character, but it is an original composition rather than a reproduction of it.

When to wear it
Spring and summer daylight is its natural home, when the citrus and freesia feel bright rather than thin. Wear it to work, lunches, errands and daytime events, and to anywhere a heavier perfume would be too much. Four sprays, because it sits lightly on the skin. The 50ml at R120 is the practical size for a fragrance worn several times a week.

It is one of the easiest fragrances we sell to wear and to like. At R70 for the 30ml it is also a low-risk way to find out whether fruity florals suit you.
How long does it last?
Five to six hours on skin. It fades gently rather than disappearing, and a second application after lunch will comfortably carry it into the evening.
Can it be worn at night?
It can, though it is light for an evening out. If you want more presence after dark, layer it over a fruity body lotion to give the base something to hold.
