About Purple Orange
Purple Orange is an explosive sweet floral eau de parfum for women, inspired by Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf. There is nothing restrained about it, and that is entirely the point.
The opening is brief and clever. Bergamot gives a quick citrus lift and tea adds a dry, slightly smoky green note that keeps the first minutes from being sugary. It is the only quiet moment the fragrance has.
After that, the flowers arrive all at once. Jasmine is rich and heady, freesia is fresh and peppery, and orchid brings a smooth, exotic creaminess. Together they create a density that feels less like a bouquet and more like walking into a florist with the door closed behind you.
Centifolia rose and patchouli finish it. The rose is jammy and deep, adding a caramelised sweetness, and the patchouli beneath is dark and earthy, giving the whole composition weight and keeping it from floating away on sugar alone. The dry-down is warm, sweet and remarkably persistent.
This is a fragrance with reach. Two sprays are enough for an evening and one is enough for a small room. Wear it in autumn and winter, to dinners, parties and celebrations, and expect it to be commented on. It suits wearers who enjoy the theatre of perfume and have no interest in blending into the background.

If you love Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf, Purple Orange shares its DNA in the tea-and-bergamot opening, the enormous jasmine, freesia and orchid heart and the sweet rose and patchouli base that gives the original its famous density.
Ours is a shade less sugary. The tea note lasts longer in our version, keeping a dry thread running through the first hour, and our patchouli is a little more earthy in the finish where the original stays creamier. Both are extremely long-lasting and both project strongly, so restraint serves either one well. Purple Orange is inspired by that fragrance and belongs to the same family, but it is an original composition rather than a reproduction of it.

When to wear it
Autumn and winter evenings, when cool air can carry something this big. It is made for dinners, parties, weddings and celebrations rather than the office or a warm afternoon. One or two sprays only, applied to skin and left alone, since it expands considerably as it warms. The 30ml at R70 will last a very long time at that rate.

Does Purple Orange smell like Flowerbomb?
It shares the same enormous sweet floral character and the rose and patchouli base that made Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf so recognisable. Ours is an original composition inspired by that fragrance rather than a reproduction, and it is a little drier.
How strong is it?
Very strong. One or two sprays is the maximum for most people, and it will fill a room if you are heavy-handed. It also lasts well beyond a full day on clothing.
Is it suitable for the office?
Generally not. It projects too far for a shared space. If you love it enough to wear it to work, apply a single spray to your wrist and nothing else.
Who does it suit?
Anyone who enjoys big, sweet florals and does not mind being noticed. If you prefer quiet, close-wearing fragrances, our softer florals will suit you far better.
